I reminded myself that Grace is the current that moves me to my destination and that He will always give me just the right size and shape paddle to maneuver the rapids.   Hebrews 4:16  (MSG)Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it…

Dropping in to add to my 1000 Gifts list.  This addition is rather long, because I’ve been writing them in my journal and not transferring them here. 192.  My sister, Cindy, whose birthday is today! 193.  Leah and all of the love and encouragement she brings to my life. 194.  Yesterday’s sermon about “hope” 195. …

Some days I fight hard to remember that His focus is on the inward appearance …that this outer life is just a vapor. 1 Samuel 16:7 (MSG) But God told Samuel, “Looks aren’t everything. Don’t be impressed with his looks and stature. I’ve already eliminated him. God judges persons differently than humans do. Men and…

I kept trying to fill the fame with what I thought my life should look like, but He had other plans. He wanted to fill it with His own. Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and…

  • “what I thought my life should look like”
So very convicting. It seems like this is a constant work in my life. I think we should be xyz and yet we’re not. We’re right where God wants us.
Thank you for checking in on me. I am doing well. It’s hard to believe that Dad passed away 6 weeks ago tomorrow. Romans 8:28 🙂 Truly this has been the push that I’ve needed to changes our lives (food).ReplyCancel

I know how the story ends; He LOVES me. The Lord your God is with you, a Powerful One Who wins the battle. He will have much joy over you. With His love He will give you new life. He will have joy over you with loud singing.  Zephaniah 3:17 (NLV)

      Stacey….
Funny how we can believe God for everyone else but ourselves. I am so much that way too…but am learning to push through my emotions to the Truth, and when I do, I see it. Believing is seeing and not the the other way around.
      Love you…ReplyCancel

    Debi,
Thank you! I’m writing this one on a card and committing it to memory.
How KNOWING He loves me changes everything.
So blessed to be walking this journey with such a precious friend with a heart to know HIM..
Keep telling me what I need to hear.
Love you and who you are!ReplyCancel

      Jackie….
Do you have any idea how much my life has changed since you walked into it?
We’ll both commit this verse to memory…together…
      Love you too!ReplyCancel

It’s like she [1. Pam Lowe…my God-given Bible study teacher] always says, “People can’t patch up their old lives; they have to get a completely new one.” John 1:12-13 (NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth…
